Anarchist's Auction House Rules & Guidelines(IMPORTANT)
Everyone,
I briefly talked about this with Mighty the other day, but decided to wait until I knew how to remove points from people to impliment this new order of business. Well, I realized how to subtract points from people this morning.
What does this all mean you may be wondering? Well, I had a thought that we should put these points to some use. That said, here is the run down of what the points you acquire will be good for:
Recipes: There will be recipes auctioned off, here on the forums, that you can use your points to "bid" on. Highest bid at the end of the alloted time shall be the winning bid and will win the aforementioned recipe.
Enhancements: These will be Pre-crafted enhancements. Same principle as the Recipes as far as auctioning goes.
Inf: Sometimes some of us just have "boatloads" of this laying around and want to use it for "something". Well, now it can be used for those who wish to make a bid!
Salvage: This will be those rare orange salvage or some of those retardely expensive salvages.
So, there you have the basic idea. Now, onto the "rules" or Guidelines for the auction house:
1. All Recipes must have some significant value in the game. For example, LotG 7.5%'s, purples, or some other hard to acquire recipe. This also includes any and all "Proc's".(chance for +end and other such types)
2. All Enhancements must follow the same rules as the above mentioned recipes.
3. All Inf auctions have a MINIMUM limit of at least 10 million inf. This has to be of a significant value for people to WANT to use their points. There of course is a maximum limit as well, which is obviously 2 billion inf.
4. No one is excluded from these auctions. That said, some of us "richer" forum people should think about staying out of the auctions to avoid being able to out bid everyone else. i.e. The Administrators. (Easy, since there are only 4 of us, also see rules 16 and 16A).
5. ANYONE may place an item of value/inf for auction. (see rules 16 and 16A for further clarification on this.)
6. If you place an item or inf up for Auction you MUST first post it in the Prospective Auctions section and get with either Mighty or Myself IMMEDIATELY so that the item/inf can be stored until the auction is closed. This will avoid folks not getting their things in a timely manner. This will be more clear in the following rules. One the items or item is stored, the Live Auction post may be made.
7. ALL auctions have a "shelf life". No auction may go on for more than ONE WEEK. And NO LESS than 48 hours. This will give people time to see the auction and place bids.
8. Once the bidding is over and an auction is closed, you have 24 hours to claim your winnings. If you fail to claim them without first sending a PM to either myself or Mighty here on the boards letting us know you cannot make the 24 hour limit you will forfiet your winnings as well as lose the points you won the auction with. (For example: I place a LotG 7.5% recharge up for auction and open the bidding up at 500 points with a limit of 72 hours. Wes has high bid at the close of the auction with 1 million points. Wes has 24 hours to claim prize (or send me a pm to work something out). I hear nothing from Wes for the next 48 hours. By now the prize has been forfiet and those 1 million points have been subtracted from Wes.) Harsh I know, but I don't like waiting around.
9. No one HAS to place anything up for auction. This is mainly being done to create a better sense of community between ALL Anarchists. I myself will most likely never participate in bidding since I have an unfair advantage in the fact that I am the one who distrbutes the points. IT would not be fair for me to participate, so unless it is something extremely good, I'll be staying out of the bidding process. This will ensure that everyone has a chance to win the bid, and I can outbit everyone here on the boards. As I said, unfair advantage, which is why I will not be bidding. That said, I do have the right to bid if I feel like it to get others to try to outbid me. I know how competative some of you are.
10. Points used in the winning bid will be subtracted from the winner and given to the person who held the auction. They may use these points in future auctions.
11. ALL AUCTIONS ARE FINAL!!! You cannot decide that you really didn't want to auction off your item/inf after the auction has been closed. Doing so will lose you all your points, and ensure that you are barred from future auctions. No "indian giving" allowed.
12. There will be no side bidding allowed. All transactions will be done through a single thread, and ALL items and Inf will be passed to either me or Mighty for "safe keeping" until the auction is closed and a winner has been announced. Mighty or myself (depending on who is doing the safe keeping) will be the ones to had the winnings to the winner in-game. This will avoid "indian giving" as well as people losing their stuff.
13. Should you place a bid after the time has expired (I will be keeping track of when auctions or items/inf are posted) your bid will not be considered, even if it is the high bid. YOU MUST PAY ATTENTION TO WHEN AUCTIONS EXPIRE!!!! I don't want to hear any whining or crying about it. It is what it is.
14. Should Either myself or Mighty decide to seriously participate in an auction where we shall be bidding, then another person who is NOT going to bid will be designated to hold onto the winnings for the keeping of safedom to keep things fair. This will be decided on a case by case since I most likely will not be bidding and can be keeping the safe!
15. These rules are subject to change at ANY time. No "ifs", "ands" or "buts".
16. Guest accounts are not authorized to participate in any auction. You must be a registered member AND be in the registered members group. Also, see 16A for further clarification.
16A. To participate in either placing the auction OR placing bids, you MUST be a member of the SG/VG. If you have decided to leave the SG/VG but are still a member here on the forums, then sorry about your luck. The SG/VG will not be here to help you out with these things.
17. THIS IS A VIRTUE BASED SG/VG AND THEREFORE AUCTIONS WILL ONLY BE OPERATING ON VIRTUE!!! The items can ONLY be auctioned if they are being held on virtue. I don't want to see any auctions being done for other servers.
If you have any questions on how the points sytem works you may refer to the "Amoment of your time" announcement. This will give you the basic idea of how points are earned. As a side note, all new members will be awarded 1 million points for getting registered here at the site.

Yes they are forum points. You earn them by posting and various other ways. You'll notice though that almost everyone has a good amount of points. That is because not too long ago I awarded everyone with 1 million points in preparation for this Auction House I had planned. Each new member will also receive 1 million points once they are registered. Essentially this is how the points get awarded normally:
- Points generated by the number of posts
- Points generated by the number of topics created
- Reputation points
- Points generated by the registration date of the member
- Points generated by the number of message on his profile
This also included the amount of friends a person has, which also give points.

Re: Anarchist's Auction House Rules & Guidelines(IMPORTANT)
I have a question as well, Lets say someone puts up an item for 1,000 points, is there like a bid thing where you need to bid a certain # of points, persay, you cannot bid 1 point above the coresponding 1,000 points? And, can there be a "Buy Now" price? like I place it for 1k, and the "Buy Now" price would be 50k, of course, the item wont be delivered during the auction period, and of course the same rules will apply, just a sugestion though

Re: Anarchist's Auction House Rules & Guidelines(IMPORTANT)
This ain't E-Bay sucka! No "Buy Now" price, no. If the bidding for an item starts at 1,000 points, then feel free to bid 1,001. Doesn't mean that particular bid will sta like that for very long, but you could do it.

Re: Anarchist's Auction House Rules & Guidelines(IMPORTANT)
I hope so since they will be posting their bid's in the thread for a particular item's thread. And obviously, the highest bidder will be last person to post.
