Assault Rifle/Devices

Many players tend to make Assault Rifle/Devices blasters because the theme seems cool. Several of them later regret it when they notice that these blasters don't really deal AoE damage, they deal too much knockback and sometimes are not welcomed on certain teams, and the devices are not very useful on teams which are steamrolling through their missions.

However, I have taken the time and effort to push an AR/DEV blaster to 50 and reworked his build over and over until I finally got it the way I wanted it.

I can now say that this is definitely a toon worth making, and soon I'll post his solo-based and team-based builds in the forums for you guys to see.

One nice thing about this blaster is that the knockback CAN be taken out of it almost entirely if that is your goal. I did this on my team-based build and it worked very well. Another nice thing about this blaster is that it's nuke does not drain all of your end, it does massive damage, the animation is awesome, and it recharges very fast; with Hasten, I can easily drop my nuke in every single mob we come across. This toon is also a blast to solo with and I have even managed to solo AV's with it with my solo-build. How many blasters can say as much?
