Earth/Rad
When it comes to my toons, I like to be specific to what it is I want them to do. As an example, if I want to make a toon which deals massive damage and runs really well on a team but isn't too squishy, then a spines/fire scrapper is perfect for me.
When it came to my most recent controller, I found myself saying, "what is it I want out of this toon?" And I decided I wanted three things: massive control over mobs, serious debuff potential, and to deal good damage. That's a tall order, right? Well, I decided to go with Earth/Rad and I LOVE that toon, baby.
#1: the earth is by far the best control in my experience. You've got group stun, group hold, group immob, group slow, group knockdown.... need I say more? This toon locks mobs down so hard you actually have to be careful not to lock them down too early, or even over-aggro by locking down mobs which you thought we out of your reach, but weren't.
#2: not only is the rad an awesome debuffer, but the earth also gives pretty good debuff to defense. Perma-holding an AV is no problem for this troller.
#3: what about damage? At level 32 you get the ever-reckless stoney pet (or [Cencored]-brick as he is frequently known better as). The pet deals pretty massive smashing damage, and those numbers are improved by the fact that you'll have everything massively debuffed. My stone pet on my earth/rad can usually one-shot most minions and almost one-shot the LT's because they're so debuffed.
Note: this isn't the most fun controller to solo (for that, I made a fire/rad which works amazingly well) but for teaming, it's one of the best controllers I've ever seen.

if you want some great mezzes, some very serious debuffs and some great damage go with mind/TA, i have one at lvl 50 and i love it heres the build.. suprisingly a cheap build considering the bonuses he is getting (i dont have the ragnarok set in him yet just a posi in oil slick atm but this will be the finished build once i get that 1 set)
